Our Mission
Every child has the capability and potential to make a difference and to bring something positive and valuable to the community. It’s just a matter of providing them with various opportunities and engaging them in positive and healthy activities at the right time. It is crucial to engage those children who have been negatively impacted throughout their lives and, thus, have not experienced equal opportunities in life so that they develop self-confidence, stronger personalities and healthier attitudes.
With this vision, we present the Make Me A Genius Program concept. Little Helpers on the Run is a not-for-profit organisation. Over 70 core projects have been designed to engage and involve children in community work. Through the Make Me A Genius program, we support children in need and encourage them to become involved in community kindness activities.
We invite kids from other schools to participate with us in supporting their peers throughout Australia and across the globe who, for many reasons, lack similar resources and nurturing and healthy environments. All kids are required to participate in a variety of giving-back activities.
At Little Helpers, we firmly believe that giving back to the community is paramount. Developing those skills at a very young age can play an essential role in shaping our children's personalities and mindsets to support the less fortunate. At Little Helpers, our goal is to develop a future generation of exceptionally unique and selfless people who are passionate, dedicated and committed to making a difference in the lives of others.
“Never forget that you are one of a kind.
Never forget that if you weren't needed in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn't be here in the first place.
And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life's challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world.
In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about. So be that one person.” ― R. Buckminster Fuller
Through this program, we aim to target kids from every school and health care centre in particular; we strive to offer a complete package to kids in need, where they receive the correct support for their educational needs and other opportunities to help them develop self-confidence and an upbeat personality. In the children, we aim to
Develop a positive attitude
Boost their confidence
Expose them to a healthy environment
Motivate and mentor them towards better educational outcomes
Drive equitable accessibility to information and educational resources
Develop virtual programs to bridge the gap in existing services and resources for low-socioeconomic schools
Provide educational resources and support to raise the educational standards for those in low socioeconomic areas
Involve the kids in community service activities
